Approaching storm at sunset along a canal in the Florida Everglades.
A powerful storm looming on the horizon combined with the low angle of warm light on the sawgrass created this dramatic image in the Everglades.
The “golden hour” is just before sunset when the sun is about 10 degrees above the horizon. The light of the sun in this position must pass through more of the atmosphere resulting in amore reddish and yellow color beautifully illuminating the landscape.
This image along with about a dozen other images of water from the “Serenity” series will be on display during my open studio at C-3/Central Creative Commons on March 31, 2018 hours: 11 am to 4 pm. 1338 Central Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236 (between 13 & 14th streets).
