Visitors to Eastep Photography gallery opening January 27, 2018

My fellow artists; Lucy Barber, Brandy Eiger, Kathy Wright and I welcomed visitors and buyers to a successful “Open Studio’s” Saturday January 27, 2018.   We appreciate the many visitors to our studios and thank those who supported our creative work with purchases.

Work is underway for our next Open Studio’s February 24, 2018 10am to 4pm.  We will be showing new photography, paintings, and multi-media art.   Visitors shared with us how much they enjoyed seeing the space where we work and being able to talk with us about our creative process.  We get so much from these interactions and look forward to welcoming you to our next opening.  –Wayne Eastep–

My fellow artists and I have joined together and created  CENTRAL CREATIVE COMMONS, located in the Central-Cocoanut Historic District, in Sarasota, Florida.          

  

CENTRAL-COCOANUT HISTORIC DISTRICT

 Central Creative Commons is located in what is known as the Central-Cocoanut Historic District of Sarasota, on the northern fringe of the Rosemary Arts District. You didn’t know about the Central-Cocoanut Historic District? Neither did we until I did some investigative photo-footwork and located these boundary markers. “The district is along Cocoanut Avenue, between 11th and 22nd Streets to the south and north, and between Tamiami Trail and the railroad tracks to the west and east (Wikipedia).”  Central-Cocoanut Historic District was designated in 2005. 

Many of you are familiar with the two orange and green buildings at 1330-1340 Central Avenue which houses the studios of  painters, photographers, mixed-media, sculpture/ceramics, design, and more! 

 Announcing  OUR • FIRST • 2018  • OPEN • STUDIOS:

When   Saturday, January 27, 2018 

Time   10 am to 4 pm 

Location   1330 – 1340 Central Avenue between 13th & 14th Streets, Sarasota 34236.

Multiple painters and photographers will be participating.  

January 27 participating artists include: Lucy Barber, Wayne Eastep, Brandy Eiger, Kathy Wright. 

 Artists will open their studios. We’re planning regular monthly open studios; you’ll have multiple opportunities to stop by, meet the artists, experience exciting art in professional artists’ studios, see what’s new and see what’s changing in the creative realms. The public is invited and it’s free.
