An “environmental portrait” shows people within their place. It gives us a fuller sense of who they are and what makes up their life. This portrait of Peter and Greer gives us a sense of the lush plantings which are an important part of their place and their lives. And of course their beautiful dog Maddy.

Black and white images eliminate the energy and vibrations that color introduces. It also creates and elemental way for us to view the content of the image. Black and white images have survived the “test of time” and are as beautiful now as they have been since the introduction of photography.
